TRANSPORT SERVICE FOR DISABLED PERSONS

1. Persons with disabilities and reduced mobility need to make a request for travel by rail to the stations, on the following telephones:

The service is carried out jointly with BULGARIAN RED CROSS (www.redcross.bg), 76 James Boucher Blvd., Sofia 1407, tel. (02) 816 48 08, fax (02) 816 46 11, e-mail (e-mail) : R.Kaminskas@redcross.bg, whose representatives in the indicated station services accept the requests for transportation.
Requests for transport according to item I.3. of the Rules are adopted by/for railway stations, open for transport of persons with disabilities and persons with limited mobility for trains with technical and operational possibilities for:
- additional inclusion of a specialized cart for transport of persons with disabilities and persons with limited mobility in the train.
- departure of the train from the initial station for the passenger, as well as acceptance of the train at the final station for the passenger from / on the first platform or from / on the track with mobile lift access, in order to safely get on and off the passenger.
People with disabilities and people with reduced mobility can also travel with diesel and electric Desiro trains, which run on different routes in the country. Each train is equipped with a movable folding ramp for servicing people with disabilities and people with reduced mobility. No prior request is required when traveling with these trains. The service of the persons with disabilities and persons with limited mobility when boarding and disembarking from the train is performed by the transport staff.
